The Arcus Group Incorporated is a full-service, Professional Architectural firm, established to provide diverse, high quality, and reliable architectural services. As a group of highly motivated and talented professionals, we strive to identify issues, solve problems, and meet the client’s needs.
The Arcus Group, Inc., incorporated in the State of Ohio in 1995, is a closely held Sub Chapter S Corporation headquartered in Rocky River, Ohio. Each Senior Principal has over twenty (20) years of major design and architectural experience.
The principals of the firm, comprised of Architects, Designers, Planners, and Artists, joined forces to form a unique and high-qualified architectural office. As individuals, each key staff member has provided consulting services to a variety of projects ranging from residential developments, custom single family and multi-family, to public and commercial, both office and retail. This experience is more than just the sum of years and clients, it is a history of problems solved, skills acquired and lessons learned.

Tom Liggett

Liggett received his BS Architecture degree from The Ohio State University in 1983. He has experience with a couple of Ohio architectural firms in residential and commercial projects. He is a founding partner at The Arcus Group, Inc. Architects. The Arcus Group was conceived in 1989 and established in 1994. The architectural firm has currently has 5 employees. Liggett is passionate about the environment, design efficiency, proportion and aesthetics. He prides himself on taking the goals of his clients and producing a design everyone will be pleased to live in. Many of Tom’s projects have received recognition from community groups and organizations. Tom is an empty nester with 2 adult children, a dog, 2 chinchillas and 2 guinea pigs. Liggett enjoys travel around the world, golf, the arts and watching his kids grow in their careers and life. His first parachute jump was in June of 1987.

Ricky Benos
Benos received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architecture from The Ohio State University in 1983 and 1985 respectively. He has worked for a number of Ohio firms and became a partner at The Arcus Group, Inc in 1995. Currently the firm has 5 employees. Benos oversees project management and quality control for construction documents and construction administration. Under his guidance he has instituted a master specification system that governs contract conditions and quality of construction. To compliment these facets of project development, a computerized cost estimating system has been developed that has allowed him to prepare accurate estimates of probable construction costs. Ricky is NCARB certified and holds an architectural license in Ohio. He has completed projects in Ohio, Florida, Alabama, Michigan, Kansas, Missouri and Canada Ricky is married with 3 children and 1 dog. Benos enjoys vacations, golf and Fat Head’s Bumble Berry Ale. He spends most of his spare time lecturing his children and pet with mixed results.

David Maddux

Maddux received his BS Architecture degree from The Ohio State University in 1983 and received his Master of Architecture degree from The Ohio State University in 1985. He has worked for a number of Ohio firms and became a partner at The Arcus Group, Inc in 1996. Currently the firm has 5 employees. Maddux is passionate about design efficiency and the process of taking designs from conception thorough construction. The firm has had multiple LEED certified buildings and projects. Maddux is NCARB certified and holds licenses in several states. David is married with 3 children and a few smallish dogs. Maddux enjoys hanging out with Erica, travel, golf, and following his kids many activities.
